In the Listening test, you will be asked to demonstrate how well you understand spoken English. The entire Listening test lasts approximately 45 minutes. There are four parts, and directions are given for each part. Below you will find a sample question from each part of the Listening test.

PART 1

Directions: For a question in this part, you will hear four statements about the picture. When you hear the statements, you must select the one statement that best describes what you see in the picture. Look at the photo below. Then listen to the four statements, by clicking on the audio icon; choose your response.

PART 2

PART 5

Directions: A word or phrase is missing in each of the sentences below. Four answer choices are given below each sentence. Select the best answer to complete the sentence.

The missing phrase is ‘was’, (C) is the correct answer.

Register early if you would like to attend next Tuesday’s -------- on project management.

You generally “attend a seminar” on a topic. Hence, (A) is the correct answer.

PART 6

Directions: Read the text that follows. A word or phrase is missing in some of the sentences. Four answer choices are given below each of the sentences. Select the best answer to complete the text.
